Scaffold-free cantilever formwork for steel composite and precast concrete bridges
The Cantilever Bracket is used in steel composite or precast concrete bridges in order to concrete the edge areas of the bridge superstructure.
Both for short crossings for railway, highway or a side roads, but also in case of large required material quantities, the cantilever bracket offers cost-effective and efficient solutions. Decisive advantages are the fast assembly, the low own weight and the mounting with standard anchoring material.
The project-specific solution with lightweight raised formwork units ensures fast and simple moving to the next concreting section with the crane.
GT 24 wooden lattice girders transfer the loads into the formwork units and allow large spans with minimal deflection.
The VCB Cantilever Bracket is the construction kit solution for the realization of cantilevers on bridges.

Overview

The VARIOKIT cantilever bracket VCB helps with the fabrication of bridge superstructures built according to the steel composite or semi-finished concrete element method. It is permanently fixed to the bridge structure and is moved by crane. Its main fields of application are usually bridges with a length up to 150 m, since a mobile solution is often not necessary in this case. 

The completion of the VARIOKIT construction kit with some few anchoring parts leads to rentable solutions for many different applications. For example, the anchoring can be either operated from below or from above. Following the VARIOKIT principle, the construction components can be optimally loaded due to the selection of the influence width, with the aim of always finding the most cost-effective solution.

Technical Details

  • The VCB Cantilever Bracket Solution can be used with both steel structures and concrete supports. The universal VARIOKIT anchor plate can be used for both applications.
